Armour Vehicles
Vehicle Summary
Land Rover is proud to introduce its first ever Factory-Approved Armoured Defender. It has been developed in conjunction with the RMA Group, Land Rover’s first Approved Vehicle Modifier (AVM).

Our Armoured Defender has been designed and engineered to the BRV (Bullet Resistant Vehicles) 2009 VR7 standard of protection and independently tested and certified by the world renowned and well recognised independent testing agency for armoured vehicles - QinetiQ. Reassurance built in and is supported by a full Land Rover warranty.
The vehicle is subjected to the most comprehensive and up to date standard -BRV 2009 VR7. Under this new regulation, which will soon become a global benchmark, the whole vehicle is subjected to projectiles fired from any impact angle anywhere on the vehicle. This means that the vehicle is tested thoroughly against any weakness in the vehicle’s armouring design.

- Features and Benefits
- Opaque Armour is protected to level EN FB6. Using a combination of high tensile steel and aramid composite, the armour is integrated into the original vehicle body for structural reinforcement.
- Transparent Armour is protected to Level EN BR6. The glass is composed of several laminated layers of high resistant composite with high quality polycarbonate spall protection shield
- Internal Firewall Armour protects the driver and passengers from the frontal assault
- Heavy Duty Suspension
- Front : Live beam axle, single rate coil springs, telescopic hydraulic dampers Panhard rod
- Rear: Live beam axle, single rate coil sprints, telescopic hydraulic dampers “A” Frame. Co-axial helper springs
- Run Flat Tyre System allows the driver to continue driving with full steering and braking control which insures safe handling of the vehicle whilst escaping from the immediate threat location following a sudden loss of tyre pressure
- Under floor blast protection against two DM61 hand grenades
